Underground

CCI underground construction experience spans 50 years throughout much of the United States. We deliver know-how and commitment to every CATV, telephony and municipal job we take on. We don’t over commit.

Underground Experience

Many of our project supervisors have more than 20 years of underground construction experience. Detailed complex projects, various soil conditions and rigid schedules are among the many variables we’re accustomed to.

Underground Equipment

CCI invests in the most efficient plows, backhoes, pneumatic and directional boring equipment, Vac-tron machines (which greatly increase the speed of pot holing and protect the integrity of other underground facilities during pot holing), and fiber optic blowers (capable of blowing fiber into conduit at a rate of 300 feet-per-minute). Our rigid maintenance minimizes downtime.

Underground Capabilities

  • Turnkey, modified turnkey or labor-only projects from large (hundreds of miles) to small (one mile)
  • Trenching cable, fiber or conduit up to 66 inches deep
  • Plowing cable, fiber or conduit up to 60 inches deep
  • Directional and pneumatic boring
  • Blow or pull cable innerduct into new or existing conduit
  • Complete restoration

Underground Crews

CCI’s underground crews are experienced in twisted pair, coax, power cable, fiber and conduit construction. We achieve optimum production through long-range and daily project planning.

Restoration

Dedicated restoration crews are proficient and timely in restoring your job site as close to original conditions as possible. They carefully respect personal property and cautiously proceed after communicating with you and the property owners.

Quality Control

Quality control at CCI is not a weekly add-on. It’s part of our daily construction system. Our formalized quality control processes ensure facility depth and integrity, proper restoration and accurate placements.

Underground Safety

With so many underground facilities today, safety is priority one. Our crews coordinate work with each State’s “one call system” and utilities whenever they dig to create a safe environment for your community and our employees. CCI’s safety policies include daily equipment inspections, on-site audits, weekly crew safety meetings, monthly job safety reviews, and rigorous pre-employment screening.
