Sr. Network Integration Engineer / Manager:

CCI, a progressive, employee owned, full service turnkey provider of engineering, mapping, construction, and integration services for converging Video, Voice, Data, Transportation and Utility Networks, is looking for an outstanding individual to join its team.

We are currently looking for a highly self motivated, experienced engineer to lead integration projects in CCI’s Networks Division. A management position may be available for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead all aspects of CCI’s integration projects including planning, staging, integration, documentation and support of solutions for CCI’s customers.
  • Collect information from customers and customer facilities.
  • Provide high level design and consulting services.
  • Train customers on installed products and overall network implementation.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers to transition projects from beginning to end seamlessly.
  • Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Network Engineers in assigned major account opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Previous Network Integration experience, Service Provider experience a real plus.
  • Cisco CCNP level certification. CCIE (R&S, Security, SP) certification highly desirable and/or preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to Learn, Understand and Articulate multiple Service Provider Architectures, Services and Products .
  • Ability to take direction and work within timelines.
  • Excellent computer skills including the use of Visio and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically install any Network components, wiring, connectors, etc.

Time Requirements:

  • Salaried Position includes 40 – 50 hour plus work week.
  • Must be dependable and able to work outside the normal Monday through Friday workweek.
  • Extensive travel may be required at times.
  • This position may be based in Iron Mountain , MI or in some cases relocation may not be necessary for the right candidate.

Network Sales Engineer:

We are currently looking for a highly self motivated, experienced engineer to work as a Sales Engineer in CCI’s Networks Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work technical sales leads with Territory Account Managers to help sell CCI’s portfolio of solutions, products and services.
  • Train customers on installed products and overall network implementation.
  • Lead all aspects of CCI’s integration projects including planning, staging, integration, documentation and support of solutions.
  • Collect information from customers and customer facilities.
  • Provide high level design and consulting services.
  • Provide technical briefings to customers on new technologies.
  • Work closely with Integration Engineers to transition projects from beginning to end seamlessly.
  • Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Sales Engineers in assigned major account opportunities.
  • Take Customer phone calls and assist with troubleshooting when applicable or transfer to appropriate support personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Previous Network Integration experience, Service Provider experience a real plus.
  • Cisco CCNP or CCIP level certification or equivalent experience (cert. must be obtained within one year of employment).
  • Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to Learn, Understand and Articulate multiple Service Provider Architectures, Services and Products.

  • Full understanding of assigned technologies i.e. RF and IP Video Headends, service provider levels TCP/IP networking, and/or physical layer technologies like RF Cable transport, Optical transport (SONET/DWDM/Long Haul Digital or Analog) and/or Wireless.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically install any Network components, wiring, connectors, etc.

Headend Department:

CCI, a progressive, employee owned, full service turnkey provider of engineering, mapping, construction, and integration services for converging Video, Voice, Data, Transportation and Utility Networks, is looking for an outstanding individual to join its team.

We are currently looking for a highly self motivated, experienced Headend Engineer and/or Technician to join our Networks Division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engineering, support, and design of analog and digital headend systems including dish and tower arrangements.
  • Collect information from customers and customer facilities, maintaining a customers-first attitude and taking extra steps to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Develop documentation including wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and rack profiles.
  • Develop equipment bill of materials.
  • Provide assistance with pre–rack and wiring functions.
  • Provide detailed drawings for use by pre–rack and field installation crews.
  • Provide final documentation to customers.
  • Assist on-site with field issues as necessary.
  • Conduct headend proof of performance testing.
  • Activation and cut over of various headend equipment and systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills ( Included but are not limited to the following):

  • Ability to work on and/or manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Experience in relevant industry.
  • Analog/Digital headend design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work within timelines and add value as a team member.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically install headend components, wiring, connectors, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Superior computer skills including the use of AutoCAD, drafting packages, Visio and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analog/Digital headend design experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of VOD (or xOD) systems, EAS and monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of IPTV and/or Video over IP Systems.
  • Specific knowledge of areas to include: content/satellite reception, modulation schemes (i.e. QPSK, QAM), video encoding/compression techniques (MPEG2, MPEG4), analog/digital ad-insertion and headend combining networks.
  • Cisco CCNA certification.
