Aerial Construction
CCI fields the highest quality aerial construction crews in the industry. We’ve earned our high performance reputation because of our internal training programs, stringent hiring practices, safety emphasis and formalized quality control programs.
Aerial Experience
CCI has been building aerial broadband plants for more than 50 years. Many of our project supervisors have 20-plus years experience, starting their careers as aerial linemen. We build a variety of systems from ADSS fiber (common in Fiber-to-the-Premises systems), to fiber interconnects, system upgrades and new system construction.
Aerial Capabilities
- Modified turnkey or labor-only projects large (thousands of miles) or small (five miles)
- Strand installation
- Lashing fiber, coax, twisted pair
- Overlashing fiber, coax, twisted pair
- ADSS fiber installation (where all dielectric installations are required)
- Plant extensions
- Plant maintenance including pole transfers, repair of broken lashing wire, etc.
- Highway, interstate, river and railroad crossings
- Wreckout
Aerial Safety
Our emphasis and investment in safety equipment, training, pre-employment background checks and testing, and safety policies have led to minimal downtime because we prevent potential accidents. Since we’re an employee owned company, everyone has a vested interest in safety. CCI’s safety policies include on-site audits, daily equipment inspections, weekly safety meetings, monthly job site safety reviews, quarterly safety meetings and yearly safety audits.
Aerial Training
Newly hired employees must attend safety orientation and satisfactorily complete at least 18 months of on-the-job service to be considered for a “journeyman’s” rating. Journeymen can then work towards foremen positions. Aerial employees are also trained and issued an aerial license to work on an elevated platform.
Aerial Equipment
CCI’s aerial crews are equipped with T-40, T-36 or Altec construction buckets and usually one-ton flatbed trucks. Our fleet averages three years new
Employment
CCI is able to provide our customers with quality service by recruiting and training individuals with the desire to succeed.
